iScape Pricing 2026: Free, Plus and Pro Plans Explained
iScape is free to download, but the full catalog costs $29.99 a month. We checked every plan in October 2026, from the two-design free tier to Pro and Enterprise, plus the auto-renew fine print and what a real backyard project or a year of client pitches costs.
iScape costs $0 to download and $29.99 a month, or $299.99 a year, for the Pro subscription that unlocks the full plant and product catalog. There's also a Plus plan at $14.99 a month, a $7.99 weekly Pro option and an Enterprise tier for teams with a quote-only price. We checked every number below on iScape's website, its FAQ, the App Store and Google Play in October 2026.
iScape is a design app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. You take a photo of your yard (or pull one from Google Street View) and drag plants, pavers, mulch and furniture onto it by hand. It's popular with landscapers, who use the Pro plan to turn a design into a priced PDF quote.
One disclosure before the numbers: we make OutdoorBrite, a competing AI yard design tool. We've stuck to what iScape publishes and linked the sources at the end so you can check them.
iScape pricing at a glance (October 2026)
iScape's own pricing page shows three tiers: Free, Pro and Enterprise. The App Store lists a few more purchase options inside the app, including a cheaper Plus plan and a weekly pass. Here's everything we could find, with what each option gets you.

| Plan | Monthly | Annual | What you get | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 2D design on a photo, 3D AR design on iPhone and iPad | Limited catalog, one texture per texture category, two saved designs |
| Plus | $14.99 | Not listed | In-app plan listed on the App Store | iScape doesn't describe what it includes |
| Pro (weekly) | $7.99 a week | n/a | Same as Pro, billed weekly | About $32 for four weeks |
| Pro | $29.99 | $299.99 | Full catalog of plants, hardscapes and products, upload your own images, proposal tool with branded PDF quotes | Priced per user license |
| Enterprise | Quote | Quote | Everything in Pro plus multiple licenses, premium support, custom integrations | Contact sales |
All prices are in US dollars. On Google Play, iScape lists in-app purchases from $9.99 to $299.99 per item, so Android prices for some options may differ slightly from the App Store.
What each plan includes
Free
The free version is a real working app, not a time-limited demo. You can start a project from your own photo, iScape's library of sample yards or Street View, then place items from what iScape calls the "Unlimited Access" category. According to iScape's notes on the App Store, free accounts get one texture in each texture category (one grass, one mulch, one paver style and so on) and can save two designs. You need a free account to save at all.
That's enough to sketch one front yard idea and see whether the app's drag-and-drop style suits you. It's not enough to compare several layouts, because you'll hit the two-design cap quickly. If comparing whole styles is the goal, a landscape design app that generates the layouts for you may suit you better than placing items one by one.
Plus
Plus shows up as a $14.99 monthly purchase in the App Store listing, but iScape's website doesn't mention it and the pricing page only shows Free, Pro and Enterprise. iScape's FAQ says the company is "testing the possibility of a 'Lite' version" for enthusiasts and smaller landscape companies. Plus may be that test. We couldn't confirm what it unlocks, so check the paywall screen inside the app before you buy it.
Pro
Pro is the plan most people mean when they talk about iScape pricing. It costs $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year, and iScape says the annual price works out to two months free. You get:
- The full database of plants, hardscapes, furniture and other products
- Every texture, so you can try different pavers, mulches and lawn types
- Unlimited saved designs
- Custom images and products you add yourself
- The proposal tool, which turns a design into a PDF quote with your pricing, item descriptions and business details
That last feature is why landscapers pay for it. A homeowner doesn't need a branded quote, but a contractor showing a paver patio layout to a client can price it in the same app.
Enterprise
Enterprise has no public price. It's built for companies that need several licenses, and iScape says it "often comes with price advantages" compared with buying Pro seats one by one. If you run a crew of three or more designers, it's worth an email before you buy individual subscriptions.
Is there a free version of iScape?
Yes. iScape is free to download on the App Store and Google Play, and the free tier never expires. The limits are the catalog and storage: a reduced set of plants and products, one texture per category and two saved designs.
There's also a free trial of Pro that unlocks every feature. iScape doesn't say how long it lasts on its site or in the store listings. The App Store terms do say one thing worth knowing: if you buy a subscription during the trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
One more limit that has nothing to do with price. The 3D augmented reality mode, where you place items in your yard through the camera, only works on iPhone and iPad. Android users get the 2D photo editor.
Hidden costs and fine print
iScape's pricing is simpler than most, but a few details can catch you out.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions bought through Apple renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Set a reminder if you only want one month.
No mid-period cancellation. The App Store terms say you can't cancel the current subscription during its active period. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't refund the days you have left.
Refunds go through Apple or Google. iScape doesn't publish a refund policy of its own, and its terms of use don't mention one. Because you pay through the app store, refund requests go to Apple or Google under their rules.
Pricing is per user. The Pro price covers one user license. A business with three designers pays for three seats unless it negotiates an Enterprise deal.
Promotions come and go. The App Store lists "LIMITED" versions of the monthly, weekly and yearly Pro plans at the same prices as the regular ones, and iScape's FAQ mentions seasonal and promotional pricing. A sale may show up inside the app, but we didn't see a discounted price in October 2026.
What's not included. iScape is a design tool. It doesn't include a designer, construction drawings with exact measurements, a contractor or any of the materials. The inventory list helps you shop, but you still buy everything yourself.
What a typical project actually costs
Two realistic cases, using October 2026 prices.
A homeowner planning a backyard over one month. You'd start on the free tier, run into the two-design limit, then pay for one month of Pro to try more layouts and pavers. That's $29.99. If you finish the plan in under a month, cancel auto-renew the day you subscribe and you're done. If the project drags on over a summer, three months of Pro costs $89.97, and at that point the weekly pass is never the better deal. Four weeks at $7.99 is $31.96, which is more than a month of Pro.
A landscaper pitching 10 clients a year. A single Pro seat on the annual plan is $299.99, or about $30 per client pitch. If one of those pitches turns a $15,000 patio job into a signed contract, the subscription has paid for itself many times over. For a three-person design team the math changes to $899.97 a year before any Enterprise discount, which is when a quote makes sense.
The monthly plan costs $359.88 over a year, so annual billing saves $59.89 if you know you'll use it for 12 months.
iScape pricing vs alternatives
iScape sits at the cheap end of yard design if you're happy to place every plant yourself. Here's how it compares with an AI tool and two design services, with prices checked in October 2026.
| Option | Starting price | How it works | What you walk away with |
|---|---|---|---|
| iScape | Free; Pro $29.99/mo or $299.99/yr | You drag items onto a photo by hand | A photo mockup, item list, PDF quote (Pro) |
| OutdoorBrite | $29/mo (25 redesigns), no free plan | Upload a photo, pick a style, AI redesigns it in under a minute | Realistic concepts in several styles, plant ideas for your region |
| ShrubHub | $197 per front yard, $237 per backyard (sale price) | A remote designer builds a 3D plan in 2 to 3 weeks | 3D renders, shopping list, contractor quote |
| Yardzen | $295 small space; $995 to $1,995 per backyard | A remote designer draws a full plan | 3D renders, CAD plan, plant and material list |
The real difference isn't the monthly fee. iScape and OutdoorBrite cost about the same per month, but they do opposite jobs. iScape gives you full control and you do the design work. With OutdoorBrite's AI landscape design, you upload a photo, choose a style like modern or cottage, and get finished concepts back to compare. OutdoorBrite has no free plan, and its concepts are visual ideas, not measured plans.
ShrubHub and Yardzen are a different category again: you pay once for a human designer. If you're weighing those, our ShrubHub alternatives guide covers the trade-offs. And if you've already decided iScape's manual approach isn't for you, see our list of iScape alternatives.
How to save on iScape
- Use the free tier first. Two saved designs is enough to learn whether you like placing items by hand before you pay anything.
- Run the Pro trial with a plan. Prepare your yard photos and a shortlist of plants before you start the trial, so you use the full catalog while it's free.
- Pay yearly only if you'll use it all year. Annual Pro saves $59.89, which only matters to contractors and serious hobbyists.
- Skip the weekly pass. Four weeks costs more than one month of Pro.
- Ask about Enterprise for a team. iScape says multi-license deals often come with better pricing.
FAQ
How much does iScape cost per month? iScape Pro costs $29.99 a month, or $299.99 a year if you pay annually. The App Store also lists a Plus plan at $14.99 a month and a weekly Pro option at $7.99. The app itself is free to download. Prices were checked in October 2026.
Is iScape free? iScape has a free version with no time limit. It includes 2D design on a photo and 3D AR design on iPhone and iPad, but only a limited catalog, one texture per category and two saved designs. Pro unlocks the full catalog, unlimited saves and the proposal tool.
Does iScape offer a refund? iScape doesn't publish its own refund policy. Subscriptions are billed through Apple or Google, so you request a refund from the store you paid through. The App Store terms say you can't cancel during an active subscription period, only stop the next renewal.
Is iScape Pro worth it for homeowners? For a single project, a month of Pro is usually enough. Pro's biggest extra, the PDF proposal tool, is aimed at contractors. We cover who gets the most from it in is iScape worth it.
Does iScape use AI to design your yard? Not yet. iScape's FAQ says an AI landscaping feature "will be launching in beta." Today you place every plant, paver and piece of furniture yourself.
Is there a cheaper alternative to iScape? For manual design, iScape's free tier is hard to beat on price. If you'd rather not build the design by hand, AI tools like OutdoorBrite start at $29 a month and produce full redesigns from one photo, though there's no free plan.
